But you can’t use it with other ATM cards or business cards. When using someone else’s debit card, just ensure they have the Visa or Mastercard. Charges may apply if you use someone else’s debit card. You just need to fill out the opt-out form and provide your name, phone number, and email address. The opt-out won’t change any other terms, Additional Terms, or future agreements with Cash App. Similarly, you can even pay using someone else’s credit card.

Using someone else’s card is risky because you’ll be responsible for any charges. In case the cardholder doesn’t sign a consent form, you might not be able to get your money back. A credit card company won’t reimburse you for any charges once you agree to let them use your card. In some cases, the card company will take legal action against you.

How Can I link someone else’s debit card to my Cash App?

You can link someone else’s bank accounts and debit card to your Cash App. It’s easy to do; you just need the card’s debit card number or name. How come I can’t link my debit card to the Cash App?

It’s a frequent query from users that they sometimes have trouble linking debit cards. There are, however, some common problems that stop you from linking your card. Your card won’t link to a Cash App for a variety of reasons.

Currently, the Cash app only accepts Visa, American Express, Discover, and MasterCard. You’ll get an “Error” message if you try to register some business cards and prepaid cards.

Your card has to be compatible with the Cash App. If it’s not, then it’ll be declined. Your card may also get temporarily blocked or held by the Cash App. You might also have trouble linking your card if you fill in the wrong details. Also you might not be able to access the Cash App if your internet connection is unstable. So, you can send email Cash’s support or tweet their team if it doesn’t work.

And finally, remember that you can’t add the same debit card to more than one Cash App account. Cash App asks users for their SSN to stop them from linking a debit card to two or more accounts. Cash App can ban any or all accounts if the same SSN is linked to more than one account. It’s the same for debit cards.
